The old Fisherman Grandpa Petterson was a true Porkkala Legend while alive. His eagle eye is still watching the visitors arriving to the Peninsula. In order to make sure they are seaworthy he has hidden a Treasure for the them to seek. The task is not the easiest – the cache of treasure can only be found by solving its complicated secrets. On the way to the cache you’ll find challenges and need skills of both hand and mind. Everybody’s input is needed – team work will solve the secret! The secrets, results and stories are told around the Fisherman’s campfire by the shore.
Winding dirt roads with up- and downhills will take you there biking. The highlight of the trip is climbing the bird tower with magnificent views to the Baltic Sea – on a clear day even all the way to Tallinn. After a surely long and sweaty journey it feels wonderful to relax in a sauna. Biking trip is apprx 13,2 km long.
Enjoy the breathtaking Spring in the Archipelago and the migration of birds. Program includes hiking and some bird-related tasks. Binoculars and telescopes are included. Transfers with own vehicles to the Lähteelä Recreation Area – apprx 7 km from Villa Korkankallio/ Villa Eagle Rock.
Enjoy the spectacular nature of the Finnish Archipelago with our knowledgeable local fishing guide. Fishing permits will be acquired. Usually we snare fish but jigging and jerking are also possible. The catch varies by season from pan-candy perches to big pikes, delicious pike-perch to the challenging trout.
Our fishing boats are large and safe designed for sport fishing. Boats are inspected and are steered by certified fishing guides with a boat-driver's degree in their pockets. Warm suits and bibs with warm boots plus naturally high-quality fishing gear and necessary permits are provided by us.
Enjoy the paddler’s perspective to the spectacular Archipelago from a sea kayak. The basics and the safety of sea kayaking will be gone thoroughly through with an experienced guide before entering the sea.
The Eleven Tale Sea Route is done by a sturdy and seaworthy commuter or fishing boats.Tales of the colourful history of Porkkala are told en route. We boat in the stunning archipelago, where the Pilot Söderling fought against the British Marines and sea snakes and the artists of the Finnish Golden Era - Juhani Aho, Venny Soldan-Brofeldt, Robert Stigell and many more – spent many a happy summer.
