Arrival in Nuuksio:

We recommend arriving on site by shuttle bus or carpool to reduce emissions and avoid traffic congestion on Nuuksio road. There are also limited parking spaces. Arriving by public transport is also a good choice.

Driving directions Helsinki - Bear's Nest (Nuuksiontie 83):
Turku motorway - Nupurintie (old Turuntie) - Nuuksiontie

30 km from Helsinki and the airport, 1 km from the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia.

From the Turku motorway (road no. 1), turn up and to the right at Ikea. Turn left at the second traffic light into Veikkola, under Ring III to Nupurintie (road no. 110). Drive about 5 km and turn right: Nuuksio / Solvalla. Drive past the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia for about 1,1 km and turn right. There is a private parking area in the yard.

Public transport connection:

Local trains U, L, E Helsinki-Espoon keskus + bus no 245 (A/K) from Espoo station to Nuuksio. Two stops from the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia, stop Punjonsuo. Short walk ahead and turn right immediately after the crosswalk, sign Karhunpesä and reindeer advertisement.

30 km from Helsinki and the airport, 700 m from the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia.

From the Turku motorway (road no. 1), turn up and to the right at Ikea. Turn left at the second traffic light into Veikkola, under Ring III to Nupurintie (road no. 110). Drive about 5 km and turn right: Nuuksio / Solvalla. Drive past the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia for about 700 m and the Safari House is on your right just after the ski slope. There is a private parking area in the yard.

Driving directions Helsinki-Villa Kotkankallio:
45 km / 45 min from Helsinki

Drive along Jorvaksentie (road 51) towards Hanko and turn left before Kirkkonummi onto Porkkalantie (Porkkalan niemi), drive 14 km along Porkkalantie and turn left into Bölentie. Drive 1,1 km on Bölentie and turn right into Läntinen Bölentie. Drive 500 m and turn right into Torsnäsintie. Drive 750 m and turn left at the first gate into the courtyard with private parking. More parking spaces can be found by turning into the courtyard at the next gate. No parking is allowed on the narrow Torsnäsintie. We recommend using a smaller bus for shared transport, there is no turning space for a full length bus on the narrow Torsnäsintie.
