Whenever possible, we recommend arriving by public transport or carpooling.

🚆 By Public Transport to Karhunpesä

Travel time: approx. 1 hour (local train E, U or L + bus 245(A))
Ticket: ABC zone ticket (available via the HSL app, HSL sales points, or contactless payment at card readers)

You can buy your ticket using contactless payment:

• Tap your credit/debit card at a card reader on the platform before boarding, or

• Tap your card inside the train at the reader near the doors

Please note: Bus 245(A) runs less frequently, so we recommend checking the timetable in advance and choosing your train connection accordingly.

Route from Helsinki to Karhunpesä, Nuuksio

• Take train E, U or L from Helsinki to Espoo Centre

• E train is the fastest and most frequent option; U and L trains may be slower

• Continue by bus 245(A) from platform 32 towards Nuuksio

• Get off at Punjonsuo stop (two stops after the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia)

From the bus stop, walk approx. 400 metres. After the pedestrian crossing, turn right at the crossroads (Nuuksiontie 83) and follow the signs to Karhunpesä.

🚗 By Car to Karhunpesä

Driving time from Helsinki: approx. 30–40 minutes

Directions

• Exit Turku motorway (Road 1 / E18) at the IKEA junction and turn right uphill

• At the second traffic lights, turn left towards Veikkola

• Drive under Ring Road III and continue onto Nupurintie (Route 110)

• After approx. 5 km, turn right following the signs to Nuuksio / Solvalla

• Pass the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia, continue for approx. 1 km, then turn right

• You will see signs for Karhunpesä and Nuuksio Reindeer Park

• Drive into the yard, where you will find our private parking area

Parking

• Parking spaces are shared with Nuuksio Reindeer Park visitors and may be limited

• A larger public parking area is available in front of Haltia

• Please note: Parking on private roads is strictly prohibited

🚗 Arrival at Villa Kotkankallio, Porkkala

Directions

• Drive along Road 51 (Jorvaksentie) towards Hanko

• Turn left onto Porkkalantie (sign: Porkkalan niemi)

• Continue for 14 km

• Turn left onto Bölentie

• Drive for 1.1 km

• Turn right onto Läntinen Bölentie

• Drive for 500 m

• Turn right onto Torsnäsintie

• Drive for 750 m

• Turn left through the first gate into the yard area

👉 Parking is available in the yard, with additional spaces through the next gate.

• Parking on Torsnäsintie or on private roads is strictly prohibited

• Large coaches may have difficulty turning in the area, so we recommend using a smaller bus or minibus for group transport
