We recommend arriving by public transport or carpooling to reduce emissions and ease traffic on Nuuksiontie. Parking at our facilities is limited. The journey from Helsinki to Nuuksio takes approximately 30–40 minutes by car and about one hour by public transport (train + bus). Please note that bus 245(A) from Espoo Centre runs infrequently, so be sure to check train connections in advance.
Please remember to purchase your ticket in advance, as tickets are not sold on buses or local trains. A single ticket for zone ABC can be bought:
• Through the HSL mobile app
• By loading your HSL card at sales points (e.g. R-kioski, Alepa, S-market, Prisma)
• Using contactless payment at station or stop card readers
• From ticket machines, available at metro stations and major stops
Helsinki–Nuuksio Route:
Local trains U, E and L run from Helsinki to Espoo Centre, where you continue by bus 245(A) towards Nuuksio. The bus stop is located right next to the railway. Bus timetables are coordinated with train connections, but buses run less frequently.
Get off at the Punjonsuo stop, which is the closest stop to Karhunpesä and the Reindeer Park. The stop is two stops after the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia. At the crossroads you will see a sign for Karhunpesä & Nuuksio Reindeer Park.
To reach Nuuksio Reindeer Park and Karhunpesä, walk about 400 meters forward and turn right immediately after the pedestrian crossing. There is a signpost at the junction for Karhunpesä & Nuuksio Reindeer Park.

Route: Turku Motorway (E18) – Nupurintie (Old Turku Road, Route 110) – Nuuksiontie
📍 Distance: ~30 km from Helsinki & the airport, ~1 km from Haltia Nature Centre
Directions:
1. Exit the Turku Motorway (Route 1) at IKEA, turning up and right.
2. At the second traffic light, turn left towards Veikkola, drive under the Ring Road III underpass, and continue on Nupurintie (Route 110).
3. After about 5 km, turn right following the signs: Nuuksio / Solvalla.
Continue past Haltia Nature Centre for about 1 km. There are signs at the junction for Karhunpesä & Nuuksio Reindeer Park. A private parking area is available.
A larger public parking area is located in front of Haltia Nature Centre, about 1 km before Karhunpesä & Reindeer Park.
🔹 Note! Parking on private roads is strictly prohibited. Residents must have access to their properties, and in winter, snowplows must be able to clear the roads without obstacles.

Drive along Jorvaksentie (Road 51) towards Hanko and turn left onto Porkkalantie before reaching Kirkkonummi(signposted: Porkkalan niemi). Continue for 14 km, then turn left onto Bölentie.
Drive 1.1 km on Bölentie, then turn right onto Läntinen Bölentie. Continue for 500 m, then turn right onto Torsnäsintie. Drive 750 m, then turn left at the first gate to enter the yard area, where private parking is available. Additional parking spaces can be found at the next gate.
🔹 Note! Parking on Torsnäsintie or on private roads is strictly prohibited.
🔹 For group transportation, we recommend using a smaller bus, as there is no turning area for a full-size bus on the narrow Torsnäsintie, and turning into the yard can also be challenging.
